The practice of glass-blowing combines all the elements: fire, earth, water, and air.

In a series of three, one-hour workshops, you will consider the art and science of glass-blowing, its inherent contradictions, its connection to the natural world and its potential as metaphor. You’ll come up with a set of imagery and themes that you can develop into a short piece of fiction or nonfiction that conveys emotional power, whilst leaving room for the reader’s imagination.

Inga has PhDs in creative writing and English literature, and her short stories and essays have been published in Griffith Review, Wonderground, Chicago Review of Books and Openbook.
